Podium-type beds make the interior slightly heavier, but the light shades of the frame and snow-white bed linen compensate for this disadvantage, at the same time bringing more light and space into the bedroom.

Bedside tables are also present in the bedroom. In the Scandinavian style, these are small, squat structures, usually on straight, long legs. Given the asceticism of the style, bedside tables can be replaced with a regular stool placed at the head of the bed.
How to choose bedroom furniture in Scandinavian style
A chest of drawers is used to store clothes and bedding. Its appearance is distinguished by its lightweight format - it is a small cabinet on legs with a couple of drawers. The color scheme of chests of drawers in the Scandinavian style ranges from soft light shades - pink-beige, coffee with milk, almond, linen, as well as the color of natural wood.
Ottomans are also used as upholstered furniture in the bedroom. They are laconic round or square-shaped products, upholstered in dense textured fabric. They can be equipped with legs or stand on the floor, leaning on their own body. You won’t find any carved legs or leather upholstery here - simple and versatile furniture performs its function perfectly, but at the same time it does not attract much attention to itself.

The most common chairs are those with a soft seat and backrest on wooden legs. They come in white, gray, beige, blue. All products are comfortable and cozy.
Sofas and armchairs
The sofa is the center of the living room. It is usually large and rectangular in shape. Its armrests are often wooden, but, nevertheless, it is very comfortable and soft. One large or several small sofas are installed in the room; often the composition is complemented by armchairs and poufs.
The chairs also have a laconic design. They are cozy, the color scheme is calm and light. All pastel shades are used, most often gray, white, blue and brown. Chairs come with or without armrests. They are often supplemented with pillows, which is very comfortable and beautiful.
Cabinets
Scandinavian style cabinets are not bulky. Often, conventional storage systems replace chests of drawers and bedside tables. All this is necessary to leave as much free space as possible.
Simple white cabinets with one, two or more doors are popular. There are also products made from natural wood, emphasizing its structure. Wardrobes in light shades. They come with or without legs. The shape is rectangular, the design is laconic, without bright accents. Cabinets with glass or open sections are used to store books and valuables. Beds
A bed in this style is always the center of the bedroom. Sometimes it is installed on a podium in which there are drawers for storing bedding and other things. Near the bed there are hanging shelves or bedside tables.
To make the room seem more comfortable, the materials chosen are natural, soft and pleasant in color. The bed is often white glossy. There are dark-colored products, but then the textiles and decor should be contrastingly light.
