Peculiarities
Bleached oak doors are a special piece of furniture.
You can't put them in any room. But if the interior doors are in their place and, most importantly, in the right design environment, then they very favorably emphasize the stylistic accents of the room, complement them and do not stand out from the background. These doors will fit perfectly into the following styles:
- Scandinavian - due to the natural texture.
- Provence and country - wooden doors are a distinctive feature of “village” trends.
- Classic (English direction) - oak is often used there as a design solution.
- Vintage – various “aged” grayish colors would be appropriate.
- Modern trends - the main attention to detail: to handles, various decorative inserts.
The misconception that light colors are easily soiled can be refuted by bleached oak furniture. In addition, the decision to install a light-colored door can help organize a small, dark space, such as a hallway.
Doors will not load up and eat up space, as dark counterparts would, but on the contrary, they will bring the necessary lightness to the interior.
Real bleached oak is considered an elite species. But there are many color variations. And a layman might confuse it with similar textures such as Sonoma oak. Moreover, bleached material from different manufacturers may have the same name, but be in different color shades.
Natural bleached oak has a wide palette of both cold, neutral and warm tones; both a smoky color and a light, milky shade can prevail in it.
Color features
Bleached oak - neutral texture. White doors are more versatile. As with white, oak has shades that affect the selection of interior elements.
The most popular shades in the bleached oak palette are:
- Arctic or milky . The design of this color is almost white, but with a natural oak pattern. Reminiscent of an old surface with partially erased paint.
- Pink . It comes in both a dusty pink shade and with echoes of lilac. The door in this color option seems to be illuminated from the inside and looks fabulously beautiful.
- Natural . It is distinguished by the absence of pronounced yellowness, with a predominance of ashen and gray tones, as if the brightness in the picture had been reduced.
- Smoky . The absolute predominance of gray shades in the wood pattern.
Bleached oak on interior structures is considered a rather capricious color. The floor should be very close in color to the doors or be a wenge color, creating a sophisticated contrast. In this case, using platbands of the same color as the laminate, you can shift the emphasis to the door and its texture “with history.”
The great advantage of oak is its lightness.
Such doors do not steal space. Moreover, when creating a spacious room, when using white or light color on the ceiling and wall coverings, it is a model of this color that will save you from the effect of a hospital room.
The whole palette of white oak
Oak is a natural material that has been used for a very long time. It received special love due to its unique texture, which can also have completely different colors: from black to white, gold and silver, and even red and green. Theoretically, any breed can be bleached, but its unique shades will remain.
Bleached oak can be ashy or gray, or it can shimmer with a pearlescent hue. It also happens that shades of lily, pink, beige, and honey are imprinted on this texture.
Oak, and especially bleached oak, goes well with its “relatives” and other types of wood.
Therefore, two-tone doors can look especially impressive in combination with a shade of tobacco, cognac or stained oak (dark tones), with contrasting burgundy or wenge wood, coffee (mocha, cappuccino) and chocolate shades.
They are able to create a unique color combination with bleached oak and become a unique accent of the interior.
Variety of colors
Oak has been used for the production of furniture and interior items for a long time. It has earned special love due to its unique structure and wide variety of palettes - from black to golden. Any type of wood can be bleached, but oak can be ash, pearl or silver. Sometimes pink, purple, beige and honey streaks are visible on the texture.
Bleached oak looks good with other types of wood. In the interior, light doors look great in combination with a shade of cognac, tobacco, wenge or burgundy. Two-color products consist of milk and chocolate tones.
At first, light oak doors were made only from natural solid wood. The wood was processed, soaked in special mixtures and dried to 8% moisture in the composition.
Wetter material is not suitable for the production of products. Several decades later, this color was imitated with PVC film, veneered or laminated doors. The base was made of coniferous trees, then covered with a thin oak slice and a special polymer.
The materials differed in their characteristics - fire safety, resistance to wear and moisture. Particular attention is paid to fittings, because latches, locks and handles must not only fit into the overall interior, but also work reliably. Doors are selected depending on their purpose. The strongest ones are made from solid wood and have the highest cost.
Cheaper products are suitable for installation between rooms. They are made from veneer, laminate or PVC. The materials convey the texture of wood to the touch and its color thanks to a special coating.
The classic choice is plain doors with a light pattern or no pattern at all. Their appearance depends on the interior of the room. Drawer structures with replaceable parts are considered durable. Folding products or book doors will allow you to save living space.
Current shade palette
By nature, solid oak has a light brown color, which may contain straw, golden or cognac notes. However, technologies such as staining, bleaching, and tinting significantly expand the range of colors.
Manufacturers offer to look at photos of Oak-colored doors in the interior and purchase products in the following shades at competitive prices:
- bleached or milk;
- light;
- gold;
- grey;
- natural;
- burgundy;
- stained - black or very dark brown, etc.
Selection of materials for floors and walls
Light doors look laconic, but it is difficult to find suitable materials for them. If you need to decide which wallpaper to choose for doors made of bleached oak, then you should take into account several nuances:
- material;
- color palette;
- style.
It is better to combine natural materials with oak products - wood, fabric, leather. The shade of wall and floor coverings can be either warm or cold. It depends on the design of the entire room. Each style has its own palette that should be followed. The texture of the wallpaper is not so important when choosing oak doors; more attention is paid to their shade.
Bleached wood looks good against a background of warm pastel colors. But in combination with lavender, turquoise and graphite it looks impressive.
It is recommended to cover the walls of a room with cold-colored doors with lilac, mint or pink wallpaper. To match the warm shade of oak, choose sand, green or white material. Depending on the style, designers identify several rules for interior design:
- classic - light or dark wallpaper and flooring;
- Scandinavian - warm rich tones;
- Provence - delicate colors (lavender, milky, olive or cream);
- techno - bright and rich shades.
Types of oak doors
There are several door options, classified by type and color of material. Each type differs in operational properties, technical characteristics, cost and other parameters. Therefore, when choosing, take into account the following features of doors:
- The material from which the doors are made. Budget designs involve a frame made of cheaper types of wood than oak, and the exterior trim is made of solid oak. Solid wood models are more reliable than glued versions.
- Presence/absence of paint coating. Unpainted canvases quickly become dirty, while varnished doors retain their appearance for a long time and are practical to use.
- Type of movement. The canvases can be sliding or hinged, as well as folding. Since oak doors are quite massive, swinging options are most often found.
- Dimensions of the wooden panel. They are selected depending on the size of the opening, which should be approximately 5–6 cm in height and 3–4 cm in width larger than the door. This is necessary to install the box.
- Appearance of the structure. Must correspond to the general interior of the room. Oak partitions go well with wooden furniture.
Oak doors fit harmoniously into many interior styles
Custom manufacturing allows you to create designs that meet all requirements and correspond to the individual characteristics of the room. The cost of such products is higher than ready-made standard options. But individual designs allow you to make the interior unique and the environment as comfortable as possible.
Interior doors made of bleached oak
Bleached oak wood is obtained as a result of the influence of sea water and sun on the material. The relief structure and light color distinguish this basis for doors and the products are not only beautiful, but also durable.
Bleached oak doors are light in color and can be varnished
Bleached oak is dried before processing, because the optimal level of wood moisture should be 8–12%, which will prevent deformation of the finished products. After this, the products are created and bleached with special compounds. Next, the elements are coated with transparent wood varnish. The result is doors with such positive features as:
- versatility of light color for both modern and classic interior styles;
- the ability to combine with furniture and objects in the color of any type of wood;
- maintaining the original appearance for many years;
- Small scratches and chips are invisible on the surface.
The only drawback of bleached oak doors is that the color is too light and impractical. You can protect products from contamination using several layers of varnish.
Interior doors made of gray oak
One of the most expensive material options is a wood with a grayish-brown hue, often called gray oak. This base is made from winter oak and is suitable for carpentry, parquet and door making.
Manufacturers often emphasize the natural shade of the material with light coloring.
Gray oak designs are varied. For example, paneled options are relevant, and panels made of straight boards often represent sliding doors. Manufacturers sometimes emphasize the natural shade with wood dyes matched to match the tone. Painting compositions protect the material from rotting, darkening, and cracking. Therefore, doors made of gray oak have the following advantages:
- practical natural color, on which dirt and minor damage are hardly noticeable;
- high level of strength and resistance to temperature changes;
- good flexibility combined with resistance to deformation.
The high cost of the material and products made from it is the main disadvantage of gray oak. Doors last a long time and look solid, but the price often makes them out of reach for many home or apartment owners.
Interior doors made of golden oak
The golden brownish hue of the wood is often called golden oak. Doors made of this material look luxurious, are ideal for classic interior styles and are available in a wide variety.
The shade golden oak can be either dark or light
Products in golden oak color are often dyed, which allows you to create a wide range of shades. The classic option is paneled doors in a golden brown tone. The advantages of such products are as follows:
- wide selection of rich colors;
- classic design suitable for many interior options;
- a practical color on which dirt is invisible.
Golden oak is not always suitable for modern interior styles; scratches are noticeable on the surface, and they can only be removed with the help of special products matched to the tone.
Dark oak doors
Bog oak has a natural dark color, but this material is very highly valued and is rarely used for making doors. Therefore, manufacturers resort to coloring wood, which allows them to imitate ordinary oak to look like stained oak or other types of wood.
Dark-colored doors look impressive even in a modern setting
The palette of shades is quite extensive and includes colors from dark gray to black-brown. The design of the door leaf can be any, and the trim, extensions and frame must match the color of the door. The positive features of dark-colored products are expressed in the following:
- spectacular appearance;
- variety of shades;
- color retention for a long time;
- demand in the interior.
Scratches and cracks are always visible on dark wooden surfaces, which is a disadvantage of such products.
Brushed oak doors
A variety of methods for artificially aging wood are applicable to oak products. To obtain the aging effect, special alkalis are used, the material is fired, or the surface is treated with hard brushes. As a result of each of these actions, some of the loose fibers are removed, and the structure of the wood becomes more pronounced.
Brushed oak doors look very impressive and give the impression of an old product
Different brushing technologies can be applied to oak products, but the maximum naturalness of the result is important. This type of door is characterized by the following properties:
- original and varied appearance of the paintings;
- easy maintenance during operation;
- many shades of products.
Brushing technology is difficult to implement with your own hands, because you need special tools and tools. Therefore, the cost of finished products, which are often made to order, is high.

Neighbor materials
The color bleached oak goes well with many colors and materials. For example, with:
- white ash - an excellent combination due to its whitish shades;
- dark loredo - black and white contrast is harmoniously emphasized along with yellowish, lilac and purple shades;
- dark or light mountain larch - an excellent solution for adding contrasting shades to the interior;
- mahogany – the interior is enlivened and highlighted, creating a respectable impression;
- natural oak - perfectly combined in matteness and texture.
Advantages of light doors
- light, beautiful material gives the product aesthetic appeal;
- doors in bleached oak color have an original and attractive design;
- modern technologies make it possible to produce doors of various configurations;
- practical and durable;
- For the production of doors, clean, environmentally friendly, veneered material is used;
- resistant to mechanical stress and atmospheric conditions.

What material should I choose in this color?
Initially, bleached oak was made from solid natural wood. They took the rock, performed some actions on it - processed it, soaked it in special compounds, and then dried it. Dried very well, up to 8%. A more “wet” rock is not suitable for making interior items.
Needless to say, but if oak itself was considered an elite material, then its bleached version became even more exclusive.
- As time went. Everyone wanted exclusivity. A little later, they began to imitate bleached oak on doors veneered, laminated or covered with PVC film. Veneered doors are made mainly from MDF. This material most often consists of softwood, but this is the basis.
- On top they are covered with veneer - a thin cut of wood, in this particular case from a cut of bleached oak. Eco-veneer, laminate and PVC are also layered materials, the top layer of which is a special film.
- Each material from which the door is made has its own characteristics of wear resistance, fire safety, and interaction with humidity. But an important part of the door is the fittings. Reliable fastenings, well-functioning latches and locks must not only be functional, but also fit into the interior concept.
The choice of a door in bleached oak color will depend on economic, aesthetic and practical considerations:
- The most expensive doors are made from natural wood, a little cheaper from solid wood.
- More economical options are veneer, PVC or laminate. When choosing veneered doors, a “bonus” will be the texture of the canvas that is obvious to the touch, but laminated or PVC-coated doors, due to their characteristics (essentially, these are films), will simply convey the pattern of the cut of the wood.
- Simple doors with or without a pattern are a classic solution in rooms. Their choice depends mainly on how they will fit with the entire interior. Tsar doors will be a revelation for those who are looking for durable and reliable structures. In addition, its elements are interchangeable.
- A book or folding door will help save space.

Review of manufacturers
Finding your ideal bleached oak door is not an easy task. Having decided on the style and what shade you want to find, you can safely go to the store. Choosing doors on the Internet is a rather controversial decision, since the screen and photographs do not always truthfully depict the true color of the door.
It is generally accepted that doors from Europe have excellent quality. However, the prices for such doors are also “excellent”.
The following manufacturers are popular:
- Italy: Garofoli; Tre-Piu; Dolce Vita; 3elle.
- Spain: Uniarte; Portadeza and also Luvipol.
- Germany: ComT'r, Wippro, H?rmann.
- Finland: Matti Ovi, Fenestra, Jite.
- Doors from Belarus have less “biting” prices. The products of such companies as Belwooddoor and Green Plant are loved by customers for their naturalness and good quality.
- The Russian manufacturer does not lag behind its foreign counterpart. This is confirmed by numerous reviews of the products of market leaders. Among domestic companies you can find products made from solid wood, MDF and PVC, laminate, and in different price variations. There are both budget options and expensive ones.
- Recognized leaders - furniture brands "Sofia", "Volkhovets" are ready to offer the buyer the widest selection of doors, including bleached oak colors (or a very similar shade). True, among the network of such stores there are dishonest dealers. "Sofia" has a long delivery time. "Volkhovets" was noticed to be defective (which occurs upon delivery).
Both companies have high prices. But the title “Mark No. 1” (2016) is not simply awarded, and the bulk of Volkhovets products are of impeccable quality. And the service life of 10 years from Sofia inspires confidence.
- You can also find a good door from other manufacturers who are no worse than the industry leaders, many of them are practically not inferior to them in quality and cost.
Other companies that have proven themselves:
- "Alexandria Doors";
- "Alvero (Leader)";
- "Art Deco";
- "Dariano Porte";
- "European";
- "Cabinetmaker";
- "Matador";
- "Solid furniture";
- "Ocean";
- "Onyx";
- "Framir".
Of course, each manufacturer has its own specifics, pros and cons. Some are marked by long delivery times, manufacturing and transport defects, less than decent representatives in the regions, and counterfeits. But some stand up for their reputation and confirm it with certificates (“Ocean”), some provide reasonable prices (“Alvero”, “Doriano Porte”, “Onyx”), some have extensive experience (“Cabinetmaker” ").
But, one way or another, choosing a high-quality door from a domestic manufacturer is quite possible.
What wallpaper to choose
Although bleached oak rarely comes into open conflict with any color, in the case of doors one should show restraint and uniformity in the design of the room. Otherwise, the canvas will lose its beauty and elegance and will look like an inappropriately old element of the interior.
Each shade of bleached oak prefers its own colors:
- Arctic (milk) oak doors are ideal for bright green, turquoise, terracotta, white and light beige walls.
- A door leaf made of pink oak looks especially “tasty” with cherry or mint colored wallpaper. Deep aquamarine will set off the lilac undertone of the surface.
- Whitewashed natural oak is ideal for cool and neutral pastel colors. Dark, close to black, rich colors of wallpaper will also be an excellent setting for this wood tone.
- Doors in the color of smoky bleached oak are consistent with the delicate shades of spring; just be inspired by a bouquet of tulips. These are mint, light pink, pale blue, milky colors.
The only color that is not recommended for use with bleached oak doors is yellow. Against this background, the door loses its nobility, taking on the appearance of an outdated thing. Bleached oak is a unique texture and its use as the basis of the door leaf, a win-win option for many years.
The versatility of the colors allows you to combine diametrically opposed designs, maintaining an unparalleled look, both from the corridor and inside each room. Here the trend is synonymous with practicality and it’s worth taking advantage of it.
Why doors made of bleached oak?
Bleached oak is always a variety of textured patterns, a lot of shades and unique natural beauty.
Doors made of bleached oak, without losing their functionality, retain their appearance and serve their owners for a long time.
If we take into account the price and compare it with the quality offered, then the cost of doors made of natural bleached oak on the modern construction market is very pleasing to consumers.
Oak doors can be installed in rooms with high humidity without any fear.
The latest achievement in the construction industry
The construction industry has come a long way over the past decade. The appearance of bleached oak created a sensation on the building materials market. Initially, this material was made from natural oak, which was treated with special means.
Oak material is distinguished by its high price, matte and textured surface, quality and durability.
For interior design, “bleached oak” interior doors are installed. The canvases are in harmony with the laminate of the same color. Thanks to high technologies and high-precision equipment, the construction industry is progressing in its development.
Door made of bleached oak in a classic style
Today, an alternative to natural material has appeared - an artificial wood substitute in the color “bleached oak”. The substitute is made from inexpensive materials, which makes it more affordable. It perfectly reproduces the structure of natural material. The industry has developed a large range of color solutions: from light gray tones, pinkish smoky to “aged” dark tones.

Manufacturing technology
The cost of the finished product will depend on the materials used in production. Such a specific surface can be obtained in three ways. For this we use:
- Lamination;
- Veneer application;
- Using solid wood.
In terms of price, the most budget option is a laminated door. A door made of solid wood is not accessible to everyone. In the middle price segment there are interior doors with light oak veneer. Let's look at the production features of each variety.
Types of oak doors
The classic entrance door made of solid oak has long become a standard. It is durable, has a respectable appearance, and easily tolerates high humidity and temperature changes. The only drawback is the high cost, so solid wood models are replacing metal doors covered with laminate, natural veneer, and MDF. Imitation for any type of wood is used: bog oak, smoky oak, bleached oak. Thanks to stains, wenge-colored metal entrance doors are created due to the similarity of texture to this exotic species.
They are used as entrance doors made of PVC, which are characterized by moisture resistance, practicality, and long service life. Reinforced metal profiles, sheet steel and armored glass give these models a strength that surpasses the characteristics of solid oak. Oak-colored PVC doors are also used as interior doors in apartments and offices. They produce folding, glass, sliding and pendulum models, the surface of which imitates bleached oak or wenge-colored doors.
Interior veneer doors made from solid softwood are growing in popularity. In their production, finishing from thin plates of natural oak is used. The wood can be of any finish: bleached, brushed, stained. At the same time, interior doors made of oak veneer have an attractive price, accessible to many potential buyers.
Natural oak veneer requires good care, for this reason it was replaced with artificial material - eco-veneer. Its advantage is high moisture resistance, ideal imitation of wood texture, and easy maintenance. Eco-veneer doors have a balanced cost - they are more affordable than classic veneer doors and only slightly more expensive than MDF models. In the interior of an apartment it is difficult to distinguish them from doors made from natural oak. The only difference is that natural wood darkens over time, acquiring a noble shade.
The affordable price of eco-veneer doors is still not as attractive as the cost of laminated doors. Inexpensive light oak interior doors made from MDF have become a classic in the office construction genre. All shades of natural wood are used in the interior of the apartment, so manufacturers of laminated doors offer the widest range of products. Golden, bleached, dark, smoky oak and wenge-colored doors can decorate a city apartment or a country cottage.
Lamination
The manufacturing process begins with the assembly of a frame from special bars. Coniferous wood blanks are used as raw materials. They are glued together using a press into a single whole. MDF boards are laid and fixed on the surface on both sides of the workpiece.
After all the preparatory work has been completed, the canvas is covered with a special polyvinyl chloride film.
Laminated doors are a budget option due to the use of inexpensive materials in the manufacturing process. PVC film has proven itself in any operating conditions, even in rooms with high humidity. The only significant drawback is that if the slightest damage occurs, the surface cannot be restored.
Manufacturing process
Oak doors, for example, “Carolina”, will last for many years if high-quality raw materials are used in their production, and the manufacture of these products is carried out in compliance with all technological requirements and standards.
At the same time, when talking about the quality of raw materials, special attention is paid to the conditions of its drying. But the arsenal of the manufacturer, specializing in the production of entrance and interior oak fencing systems, has products for every taste and color.
Products can be manufactured using different methods:
- From a solid massif. In this case, high-quality boards are used in the production of wooden door systems. Raw materials must be free of visible defects. This option is the most expensive. Enclosing structures made from solid wood are distinguished by excellent heat resistance and sound insulation. Even with a sharp change in temperature and humidity in the room, the dimensions of the door block remain stable. However, a solid array has its drawbacks. These include the high cost of products and considerable weight.
- Glued solid. In this case, the canvases are made from several pieces of wood, which are glued together under pressure. This technology for manufacturing a door system significantly reduces the cost of the finished product. And since the wood fibers are correctly joined, the strength of the material from which the doors are made increases significantly. It is worth noting that oak doors made from laminated solid wood have a considerable list of advantages. One of them is the high resistance of products to mechanical stress. In addition, such fencing systems have little dependence on moisture. And they cost an order of magnitude cheaper than similar structures made from solid wood. Unfortunately, some unscrupulous manufacturers may use low-quality glue when gluing wood. This has a bad effect on the quality of the finished product.
- Veneered structures. Such products are considered an economical option. Usually in this case, door structures are made of cheap wood (sometimes even from chipboard or honeycomb filler), and natural oak veneer is glued on top. Door blocks produced by trusted manufacturers will last for many years.
In addition, the appearance of the door block and its service life depend on the coating applied to the surface of the product. This coating performs both decorative and protective functions.
Before applying the coating, the surface of the product is ground, removing all roughness and other defects. The surface is covered with special impregnations, stains, primers and only then varnish is applied.
Veneering
The door frame manufacturing technology is identical to the previous one, only wood veneer is used as a covering. It is made from natural solid wood, which explains the increased cost of the products. The blanks are cut into thin sheets and undergo a bleaching process.
Interior doors covered with veneer are much more expensive, this is due to the fact that natural solid oak is used (albeit partially). There can be many options for surface relief, since the material is subject to any decorative effect.
Properties and texture of the material
Ship planks that have survived the test of sun and sea inspired designers to popularize bleached oak. Its texture is quite bright, in natural conditions it is emphasized by depressions bleached by sea water and sunlight.
Along with this, an exquisite dilapidation appears, the tree acquires a “rich past”.
Today, this effect is created artificially, helping designers embody the main trend in interior design - naturalness and environmental friendliness.
Moreover, the aesthetic properties of the material do not end there; it has:
- An expressive pattern of growth rings and a bright texture of the medullary rays.
- A clearly expressed texture that retains its relief even after painting.
- Preservation of the design due to brushing (aging) of the board.
High heat and sound insulation combined with resistance to damage is relevant. What else do you need for a door, be it an entrance or an interior door? Structures made from such material look solid and solid, and its physical characteristics turn the room into a fortress.
Using solid wood
During the manufacturing process, the door leaf goes through several stages of processing. Initially, the wood is dried. As a result, the moisture level of the material should not exceed 8%.
The next step is bleaching. Special compounds that have a whitening effect are applied to the surface. The resulting canvas with a milky tint is treated with special oils.
The final stage is to coat the door with varnish. In some cases, if required by the technological process, a primer is first applied to the surface. Varnish treatment involves double application of the material.
Peculiar Sonoma oak and color combination in the interior
When talking about bleached oak, it’s hard not to mention Sonoma oak. Outwardly they are similar, but the pattern of the second wood is rougher than that of its bleached relative, and is complemented by a unique relief. The color scheme, in addition to the usual smoky and lilac-pink shades, has golden motifs.
Even blue will come to life next to a Sonoma-colored door leaf.
“Sonoma” is translated from the Indian language as “valley of the moon.” The surface of this rock really looks as if it is illuminated by moonlight.
At the same time, exotic wood for doors has a wide range of combinations:
- Good with local colors.
- Suitable for matte surfaces.
- Floor coverings can have either a classic oak tone or a contrasting wenge tone.
- Pairs perfectly with yellow wood.
- Ideal with orange, gold, brown, beige interior elements.
- Able to combine natural and bright colors in a room.
In addition, warmth and airiness make it possible to install interior doors of this color in a restrained, dry and cold interior, without causing dissonance, but bringing comfort and warmth.
What does bleached oak go with?
As we said above, bleached oak is a universal color that can be combined with many shades, serving as an excellent background in the interior. Let's look at some of the most colorful combinations.
Green
The combination of green and bleached oak will create a beautiful natural mood that will calm the nervous system and help you relax. To create a contrasting interior, use dark emerald paint for the walls and light parquet on the floor.
In the bathroom, green tiles and furniture in the shade of bleached oak will look harmonious.
Yellow
This combination is suitable for cheerful people who want to bring more bright and sunny colors into their lives. Use pastel shades on the walls, and brighter colors as accents, such as orange-yellow in the kitchen splashback area. Choose flooring or furniture in the shade of bleached oak in this combination.
Grey
Gray and bleached oak are the ideal color scheme for minimalism or hi-tech style. Muted shades do not overload the room and do not look too pale. Use brass accessories such as lamps or figurines as accents.
Lilac
We recommend using this combination in rooms whose windows face south, as bleached oak and lilac create a rather cool interior. However, it all depends on the selected shades, and this combination can easily be made brighter and warmer. The lilac shade is best used in textiles, such as curtains or upholstery.
Blue
Cornflower blue or ultramarine will be excellent accents against the background of bleached oak. Use light panels as a background for wall decoration, and furniture or textiles for a brighter and more interesting interior.
Color solutions
Bleached oak comes in a wide range of colors: from pale pink to gray aged oak. In some cases it has a lilac tint. It can be cold and warm. When choosing a color, you should pay attention to the following points.

The style in which the interior is made
Classic design is distinguished by its restraint. Decorative elements are selected in strict whitish tones. Vintage is, first of all, antiquity. In this case, bleached oak is chosen in a gray shade, or artificially aged, with scuffs. The high-tech style is distinguished by its modern character, so the color can have a lilac tint.

Color palette
With the help of the play of colors it becomes possible to create a unique interior. Bleached oak will combine equally well in different shades. If only one type of paint predominates, adding contrasts will help revive the design: from noble brown to crimson, burgundy, and turquoise. It is an ideal combination with black colors. These can be entire interior items, such as furniture and coverings, as well as small parts. The walls can be either adjacent in tone or contrasting.

Spectacular examples in the interior of an apartment
Interior design, which has bleached oak doors, can be of two types - approximately in the same color scheme and “a game of contrasts”. Moreover, in the first case, options are possible when only similar colors are used, and when the decor contains bright, rich colors (lavender, light green, turquoise).
Light, quiet and calm pastel shades (for example, beige) on the walls. Consonant shades of light wood on the floor. Light and practical furniture in the rooms. This is the first decision of the room design.
When the decision to decorate everything in one tone seems boring, color accents come to the rescue. They can be in paintings, accessories, textiles. Bright colors can bring some liveliness and unusualness to the interior.
Even the decision to place a large bright flower in a room can help add new colors to the interior.
For those who love experiments and are not afraid of bold decisions, we can suggest combining contrasting colors. Doors and floors, stylish interior items complement each other perfectly. Graphite or other rich dark walls will be the perfect frame for bleached oak doors.
The main thing to remember is that dark color is only good for large spaces that face the sunny side.
An effective and almost “traditional” solution would be to use the contrast of doors and floors. Bleached oak and wenge - very often you can find such a recommendation in interior design, but oak also looks very interesting and stylish with other species.
Interior design tips
Bleached oak doors will be appropriate for use both in village houses and in the metropolis. To ensure that the installation of this type of canvas does not make the space visually heavy, but gives lightness and ease, it is worth listening to the advice of experts on their use:
- To visually make the corridor wider, it is necessary to use canvases with glass or mirror inserts;
- If the room is small, then the color of the door and floor should be the same;
- If the room is dark, then it is recommended to use only warm shades of paintings;
- It is not recommended to make the flooring and doors in the same color and texture, because the interior will look boring and primitive.
If a vintage style is used in an apartment or house, it is recommended to complement it with antique paintings, and the doors themselves with carved copper handles. The color of the canvas, gray oak, will fit perfectly into the high-tech style, contrasting well with dark colors and other metal elements.
Thus, bleached oak interior doors in the interior will add style, laconicism and modernity to the room. All possible design options can be seen in the photo in our article and you can choose one or another model that will fit into the design of the room as best as possible.
