Often such curtains are quite heavy, so it is advisable to hang them only on reinforced bases. Cheap plastic curtain rods are not suitable for these models, as they can be damaged under the weight of the curtains.
Such curtains do not fit into all interiors. Small rooms should not be decorated with them, as they make the atmosphere heavier and visually reduce the space.

Care instructions
To increase the service life of velor curtains and maintain their presentable appearance for as long as possible, you need to properly care for them:
- remove dust weekly with a special brush (do not knock it out, as the pile fabric may become deformed);
- clean with a vacuum cleaner with a special attachment once every two weeks, carefully passing the brush near the curtains so that dust from them gets into the vacuum cleaner, but does not drag the fabric itself.
- twice a year, wash in laundry bags in a washing machine, loading the machine halfway, on a delicate cycle at a water temperature no higher than 30 degrees;
- For washing, use gentle liquid detergents without bleaching additives;
- To dry, lay out on a horizontal surface;
- iron from the wrong side, without pressure, in the “synthetic” mode;
- If it is not possible to wash it at home, take it to the dry cleaner at least once every six months.
When purchasing fabric or ready-made curtains, consult the seller about the intricacies of caring for it. Some types of velor can only be dry cleaned.
Velor curtains, especially if they are made of natural or mixed fabrics, should preferably be washed by hand and should not be wrung out. Curtains made from synthetic fibers can be machine washed and wrung out, they are more durable and easier to care for.
