Let's consider the main stages of equipping premises with PVC plastic:
1. Determination of the required material
The construction industry offers plastic panels with a height of 2.7; 3.0; 6.0 meters. Their width can be 20;25;30;35 cm. Measuring the room will give the result of the required amount of material (quantity in pieces). An important factor is the size of the height of the corner walls, the size of the openings for doors and windows. Based on these indicators, the dimensions of the required metal profiles on which it is best to attach plastic sheets are determined (in meters).
Depending on the number of corners, joints, openings, various non-standard elements in the walls, the required number of profiles (moldings) is calculated. To cover balconies, as in the photo, you need to take a little more panels than calculated.
2.Installation of profiles
It is necessary to decide on the vertical or horizontal arrangement of the plastic strips. When vertical placement of plastic is planned, the galvanized profiles are fastened parallel to the floor with a distance of approximately 40 cm between each other. Otherwise, the profiles run perpendicular to the ceiling. The level determines the even arrangement of structures. Sheathing is installed at the beginning and end of the surface that needs to be covered, as well as around windows, doors, vents, etc.
Fastening
When the profiles are installed, you can begin attaching the PVC strips. Installation of plastic panels begins from the corner adjacent to the window. For these purposes, the starting angle is installed end-to-end with the narrow side facing the front side. The PVC sheet is installed in the groove of the profile. PVC sheets are secured with self-tapping screws. Each panel is inserted all the way into the groove of the previous panel. Only the beginning of work will seem difficult; then the connections are made as in a constructor. A special molding is used to connect the outer and inner corners. Along the length of the panels, they are connected with a connecting molding.
Ceiling equipment
When covering the ceiling they work the same way, but using ceiling plinths. The width between the profiles on the ceiling when covering the balcony with plastic panels is slightly less - 30 cm. When you follow the instructions, you will get the balcony covering as in the photo.
