Types and characteristics

Using various technological processes, a distinction is made between foam concrete and aerated concrete. They have the same properties, but differ in manufacturing technology. Autoclaved concrete is divided into types depending on its volumetric mass:

Heavy concrete. Used for reliable supports or load-bearing structures. Lightweight concrete. Used in buildings where lightness of the material and thermal insulation characteristics are required. Medium concrete. With their help, enclosing elements and low-rise buildings are erected. Return to contents

Aerated concrete

A type of cellular concrete is aerated concrete, which is an artificial stone with pores evenly distributed throughout the volume. Autoclaved aerated concrete is produced at the factory and does not contain chemical additives.

The composition of aerated concrete includes: sand, cement, lime, water, gypsum and aluminum paste. The formation of pores occurs due to the release of hydrogen. After hardening, aerated concrete is divided into blocks, maintaining equally even dimensions. The geometry of aerated concrete elements prevents gaps when laying them. Autoclaved aerated concrete achieves maximum strength characteristics in an autoclave, where it is subjected to high temperatures and pressure. Aerated concrete has stable quality, strength, environmental friendliness, water absorption and thermal insulation.

Gas silicate

Gas silicate blocks are a type of cellular material containing lime, fine sand, water and pore-forming additives. Gas silicates are produced according to state standards using autoclave technology.

The process of preparing a gas silicate mixture consists of mixing the components in certain proportions and order. Mix the ingredients until a thick mass is formed, which is then poured into prepared containers. Hardening occurs due to the chemical reaction of lime and aluminum powder, which results in the formation of a porous structure of the product.

The next step is cutting the products into blocks of the desired purpose. After cutting the building elements, they are immersed in an autoclave for steam and high pressure treatment. Next, the gas silicate products are left to harden and package.
