Racks and supports SV

When laying power lines, in addition to power line supports, supports and racks with the standard SV marking are used.

SV racks and SV supports are designed for uniform distribution of the mass of stretched current-carrying wires. In the upper part of the racks and supports, CBs usually have additional structures of consoles and traverses, and wires are attached to them using insulator blocks.

There are two types of SV racks and supports:

• SV linear light poles. They are placed along power lines in areas with flat terrain, where there is no need to cross obstacles.
• SV light poles are special. But they are just needed in the latter case - when it is necessary to overcome some obstacle - a river or a hill, for example.

Technical indicators of SV supports: Light supports SV and SV stands must be manufactured in accordance with the standards of GOST 23613-79. The concrete grade B 25 is usually used; the following indicators are important here:

• frost resistance - no less than F 150;
• water resistance - at least W2

SV racks

They are most often used for suspension of high-voltage lines designed for long service life. SV reinforced concrete supports are manufactured using well-proven technology. First, a metal frame is welded, which is then filled with concrete. In order to make the solution denser and heavier, it goes through a vibration procedure. The main advantages of supports include their characteristics:

• seismic resistance;
• ease of installation;
• increased resistance to corrosion;
• do not interact with aggressive chemicals;
• do not require painting or additional protection;
• service life more than fifty years.

CB posts can be used as lighting poles. These designs can easily withstand a suspension of nine power supply wires and four communication wires. The products are used in the arrangement of city parks, streets, highways and other infrastructure. Various lighting devices (spotlights, lamps and lanterns) are fixed on these supports.

For power lines with voltages up to 35 kV, it is recommended to use supports made of reinforced concrete grade B30. These structures are characterized by increased rigidity and resistance to cracking. In addition, they perfectly withstand any gusts of wind and maintain their characteristics in conditions of negative temperatures. Reinforced concrete supports (racks) for external lighting type STss, SNTss

STss and SNTss racks are used in public utilities for supporting contact networks of electric transport or as lighting poles. The design of the racks provides for the placement of brackets with lighting fixtures or the fastening of consoles and flexible crossbars of contact networks.

• STss-0.65-8, STss-0.8-10 are used for lighting, power is supplied underground.
• STss-1.2-10, SNTss-2.8-10 are used for lighting, power is supplied by air.
• SNTs-3.4-11.5, SNTs-5.1-11.5, SNTs-7.7-12, SNTs-10-12 are used for fastening parts of contact networks or street lighting; power is supplied underground.

Design and manufacture of racks STss and SNTss

The racks have a conical shape and an annular cross-section. The structures are made by centrifuging heavy concrete B25-B40 in rotating conical formwork. The metal frame of the racks uses the following types of reinforcement: longitudinal rod unstressed class A-II or stressed class A-IV, and transverse spiral reinforcement made of BP-1 wire. STss racks have non-stressed reinforcement, and SNTss racks have stressed reinforcement.

All characteristics of supports are regulated by Series 3.320-1 issue 2.

Rack markings:

• STSs (SNTss) - a centrifuged rack with rod reinforcement (the same with stressed reinforcement).
• 0.65; 0.8; 1.2... - load-bearing capacity in tf*m.
• 8; 10; 11.5; 12 - length in meters.
• N; P; O - normal, increased, special density of concrete pillars used in aggressive environments, with appropriate water resistance.
• K - indicates the presence of a hole for the overhead cable.
