Curtains for gazebos and verandas - a review of the best options for outdoor curtains! Types, material, tips for choosing TOP-100 photos + DIY installation instructions

Translucent fabrics

Weightless organza, veil or chiffon look especially chic as a material. When folded, they perfectly serve as a lovely decoration.

When unfolded, these transparent curtains do a good job of repelling insects, allow air to pass through perfectly and create a pleasant, gentle shadow.

However, they will not protect against too much sun, bad weather and cold.

Disadvantages of fabric curtains

The disadvantages of textile curtains include:

  • they are not durable, they can withstand no more than 5-7 seasons;
  • Can only be used in warm weather; they will not be able to protect against precipitation and cold wind.

Lightweight fabrics

Decoration made from light fabrics looks light and airy. It can be cheerful chintz, luxurious silk or thicker satin.

The delicate folds formed by such fabric softly frame the openings of the gazebo and give a beautiful appearance to the structure.

The design of the openings of a garden gazebo made of burlap turns out to be very interesting. This fabric fits perfectly in style and creates a special rustic mood. It's unusual, stylish, beautiful.

Ribbons, decorative flowers, and elements of rural decor are perfect for burlap. The practical fabric will not fade in the bright sun and will give an original look to the garden structure.

Wooden curtains

Wooden gazebos harmoniously combine with bamboo curtains. These are roller blinds that will block hot air in hot weather and retain heat in cold weather.

They create a special flavor in combination with wooden souvenirs and coffee-colored furniture. Caring for them does not take much time. It is enough to wipe the curtains with warm soapy water several times a year.

Rope curtains - threads of beads will add unusualness and romance to the atmosphere. But you need to protect them from fire and regularly wipe them from dust.

Thick fabrics

Heavy fabrics will help to more reliably protect from the sun and rain, maintain privacy, and create shade.

They can be designed in the form of Roman or Austrian curtains, classical or Scandinavian, Japanese or stained glass curtains.

Loose fabrics blowing in a light wind are perfect for the Mediterranean style.

Curtain fastening methods

There are several popular methods for attaching curtains, including outdoor ones.

Curtain tape. Ready-made tape per meter is purchased at sewing stores. The ribbon needs to be sewn to the top edge of the curtain. You can pull it up using special laces at the ends, then it will lie in folds. These folds will be repeated by the curtain and then you will not need to lay it out figuratively every time you open the curtains. Hooks for attaching curtains are inserted into the loops on the tape.

Note!

Eyelets. Before installing the metal rings, regular fabric must be folded to the width of the eyelet + 3 cm. Next, the places for future fastenings are marked on the fabric. The metal ring needs to be attached to the fabric, circled around it from the inside and cut out a circle. Next, one half of the eyelet is placed under the fabric, the second is placed on top. You need to press the halves until they click.

Textile loops. Large loops made from the same fabric as the curtains can also be used as curtain fastenings. To do this, cut out rectangles measuring 5 by 30 cm from the base material, leaving 1 cm for hem on each side. Having hemmed the rectangle on all sides, fold it in half, fold the ends of the loop together and sew it to the top of the curtain.

Kuliska. This method is used for lightweight fabrics. The main curtain fabric is folded at the top to form a pocket. A fastening rope is threaded through this pocket and folds are formed.

Magnets. In textile stores you can find special magnets for curtains. They are a two-piece design. One is a magnet with a ring attached, the second is a decoratively decorated magnet. The curtain fabric is inserted between two magnets. The base string is threaded through all the rings with magnets and secured to the bracket, then the curtain is applied to one magnet and pressed with the second, this is repeated for each ring.

If you want to use light fabric as curtains, but are worried that the wind will flutter all the time, make another row of fastenings at the bottom of the curtains. The warp thread can be secured along the floor and the bottom row of fastenings can be threaded through it (eyelets are best for this). This way, the curtain will be secured on both sides and the wind will not be able to lift it.

Curtains for a gazebo or open veranda are not only beautiful, but also a very practical accessory. Curtains made from thin natural fabrics will make your gazebo light and elegant, while dense modern materials will reliably protect you from bad weather. Ready-made curtains can be purchased at the store, or you can make them yourself. In this case, your curtains will definitely be exclusive. Moreover, sewing outdoor curtains will not be difficult.

Roller blinds

Roller blinds look good in the interior of the gazebo. The advantages of such designs include ease of use, they do not need to be carefully folded, they do not need to be washed and ironed. In addition, they are capable of partially shading the room.

Such curtains are completely invisible when folded; they open the entire gazebo for inspection and ventilation. Most often, roller blinds are made from fairly dense fabrics that provide good protection from the sun.

Rafblinds are a variant of roller blinds, but are installed outside the building.

Protective curtains for outdoor gazebos and verandas

Curtains for gazebos and summer verandas must have reliable and security properties. According to current designers, PVC curtains for gazebos and verandas best suit these requirements. Because they can withstand different loads, PVC gazebo curtains can be used even in terrible weather. They can also be used regardless of temperature all year round.

This fabric also traps heat inside the structures. Transparent PVC curtains for gazebos and verandas add lightness to the structure. At the moment, transparent curtains for gazebos are used in different colors in order to create your own style.

The first thing after purchasing protective curtains is to make a choice about how they will be installed. Curtains made of plastic should be secured with straps and swivel brackets. This installation allows the curtains to move apart. You can also make mosquito nets along with curtains.

Modern curtain materials are safe for human health and cannot harm him.

Rope curtains

Such delicate and light curtains will be an excellent decoration for a garden building. Translucent designs will provide a patterned shadow and a barely audible whisper.

The graceful beads and petals of the decorations of such curtains will complement the casual style and provide a calm and pleasant rest.

Raft curtains

They are similar to ordinary blinds. They belong to outdoor curtains and differ in installation. These curtains are made of aluminum and last a long time, are durable and easy to use.

Positive qualities:

  • Helps protect against rain, snow, and direct sunlight.
  • The plates are installed at different angles and reflect light better. At the same time, the illumination of the gazebo is much higher.
  • In hot weather, you can lower the temperature by a few degrees.
  • Eliminate the influence of extraneous noise.

There are raft curtains that completely darken the gazebo. They can be controlled using different mounts: manual, remote and automatic.

Eco-curtains

These curtains made from natural materials are perfect for gazebos made of wood.

Such curtains are made from straw, hemp, bamboo, and wooden sticks. They will perfectly highlight the natural landscape and become an unusual decoration of a country house.

Bamboo curtains for gazebo

Outdoor curtains made of bamboo are considered environmentally friendly; they fit very harmoniously into any style and design of the gazebo. Curtains made from this material softly diffuse daylight, adding a touch of privacy and romance.

As an alternative, you can choose vertical or horizontal bamboo blinds.

Outdoor blinds for gazebos

They will create a unique design and will appeal to lovers of technological style. They are easy to maintain and allow you to partially close the gazebo by raising or lowering them to the required height.

All such curtains are good only in the summer; they will not save you from the cold and autumn rains. And the service life of such curtains is very short; in a couple of years, the bright colors will fade completely.

Roll curtains

There are also outdoor roller blinds for gazebos and verandas, made from light-proof fabric. Unlike others, they do not allow light rays to pass through; these are good properties for an open veranda. The material is made of soft material and it keeps out the sun's rays. The presence of an electric drive makes it possible to roll the fabric into a small roll.

Canvas curtains

They belong to the category of fabric curtains. But they have undeniable advantages. The tarpaulin is strong and durable, it is not particularly exposed to sunlight, and provides good protection from wind and rain.

But the aesthetic appearance of this material will not be a godsend for the beautiful decoration of a building. It is difficult to decorate elegantly or attractively.

Features of choosing curtains for the veranda at the dacha

Once done, you need to choose good curtains. In the case of curtains for an open veranda, you need to understand some features. Please note that the open building is not protected from rain or wind, so curtains will be the only obstacle in the way of bad weather. Next, we will look at what specific characteristics are important for the correct selection of curtains and what they are.

There are a large number of curtain materials on the market, but we would recommend choosing one of the following:

  • impregnated outdoor fabrics;
  • oxford awning fabrics;
  • pvc curtains;
  • blinds.

Impregnated outdoor fabrics

Unfortunately, it will not be possible to use ordinary fabric for curtains on the veranda - the material must be durable, but not devoid of aesthetics.
The ideal option for lovers of fabric curtains would be impregnated fabrics - most often they are made of acrylic or polyester, however, Teflon options are the most valued. Special impregnation makes it possible to use them even during rain (the fabric does not get wet, does not fade and does not lose its attractiveness). Also, curtains for the veranda at the dacha have a number of other, no less important advantages:

  • wear resistance (most natural elements are not capable of damaging curtains);
  • fire resistance (impregnation is not afraid of fire - it does not melt and practically does not burn);
  • tactile pleasantness (the curtains are very attractive to the touch).

There are, admittedly, disadvantages that must also be taken into account when purchasing. Such curtains for a veranda at the dacha do not last very long: they will last for a maximum of several seasons, even if you take good care of them.

Oxford awning fabrics

Awning fabrics can be used not only when sewing awnings for swings and tents, but also curtains for the summer veranda in the country. The fabric is particularly durable, and it makes no sense to talk about weather protection again.

It is made of polyester, which is coated with polymers and wear-resistant varnish. Its strength is measured not only in the absence of damage, but also in its tolerance to temperatures - from -40 to 70 C (without stretching or compression, in fact, without changing its appearance). The fabric is also resistant to various types of acids and solvents, and lasts about 15 years without any additional repairs.

PVC curtains for the veranda

Such waterproof curtains for the veranda have the following advantages:

  • economical - they are made from the cheapest materials possible.
  • transparent - awnings for the veranda in the form of a film will let in a sufficient amount of sunlight..
  • reliable - the PVC structure can be easily lowered and secured, and if it is not needed, it can be easily rolled up and stored until better times.

It should also be noted that PVC curtains for the veranda are much more reliable than their direct competitors - they are light and durable, they retain their original shape even after long use. You can even work with them yourself - sewing with them is extremely simple, and dirt can be removed with just a napkin, which must first be moistened in glass cleaner. PVC roller blinds for the veranda The disadvantage may be some intolerance to hot climates: such transparent curtains for the veranda outside are not recommended to be hung in the open sun, because they can fade, and a little later they can become frayed and torn. You can see more complete information about this type of decor in our other article about curtains for verandas and terraces. In it we will talk about all aspects of this interior detail and their main features.

Blinds

Installing blinds on an open veranda is somewhat different from the usual sealing of window openings. Initially, you should decide on the design.

There are several types of blinds that can be used:

  • horizontal (suitable for designing low openings);
  • vertical (they may not be limited in height - most often they are used for high terraces; the main difference from conventional models is the absence of fastening slats);
  • thin blinds (made of fabric ropes).

It is worth noting that blinds can only provide aesthetic fencing of space, but not direct protection. However, bright sunlight or prying eyes can still be avoided. Unfortunately, if your home is located in a climate zone where strong winds constantly blow, then this type of veranda blinds will not last long.

Please pay attention to the fact that strips of canvas (otherwise called lamellas) can be made not only from fabric. There are blinds where the slats are made of wood, bamboo, plastic and even metal. Again, the function is purely decorative, but the room will sparkle with new colors if such curtains are hung there.

Plastic curtains

PVC curtains have proven themselves well as curtains for garden gazebos.

The undoubted advantages of this type of finishing of openings will be their immunity to the rays of the sun, ease of maintenance, and non-staining. They will provide good protection from rain and wind.

PVC curtains are practical and durable, elastic and easy to maintain. All dirt can be easily removed with a damp cloth.

Plastic curtains are made from polyethylene or polymer fabrics. The advantages of PVC curtains include the ease of decorating a gazebo. They can be beautifully rolled, raised or tied.

The disadvantage of plastic curtains is the greenhouse effect in hot but humid times. At this time, you should ventilate the gazebo more often.

You should not install a barbecue or heater inside a room closed with this type of curtains.

PVC curtains can be transparent or colored. Transparent canvases perfectly transmit light and make it possible to enjoy the view of a wonderful garden.

Colored panels will create an unusual design and protect you from overly curious eyes. To create an unusual design, you can combine two types of canvases.

Advantages of curtains for gazebos

Photos of gazebos with curtains look very attractive and original, at the same time there are many more advantages:

  • Protection from adverse weather conditions;
  • Protection from annoying insects such as mosquito, fly, wasp;
  • Using a curtain you can hide some defects in the gazebo;
  • Some types of curtains for the gazebo will serve as a screen for prying eyes from the street;
  • They give additional comfort to the gazebo.

Acrylic curtains

Such paintings look very bright and beautiful. They perfectly diffuse sunlight, creating an unusual light finish both outside and inside the room. They will perfectly help protect the interior from rain and create a bright and festive atmosphere in any weather.

The only inconvenience is the rather difficult storage of the canvases. If folded incorrectly, microcracks or creases may appear on them. And this will immediately affect the appearance of the curtains.

Impregnated curtains

An alternative option could be textile curtains with special Teflon impregnation. Natural fabrics are usually impregnated with a protective composition. As a result, they retain their appearance, remain soft and breathable, but at the same time are not afraid of water and dirt, and are easy to wash.

Such curtains will become a real decoration for your gazebo or veranda, but you will have to pay several times more for them than for ordinary textile or acrylic curtains.

If you like one of the above fabrics, you can sew curtains from them yourself without resorting to the services of a seamstress.

Protective awnings

They can become reliable protection on a cool day. The awning fabric will not let moisture and cold in and will keep you warm and comfortable in inclement weather.

With such protection, you can install a heater in the gazebo or light a fire. The heated air will remain in the building for a long time.

Mosquitoes and midges will not gnaw through such protection, so nothing will prevent the owners of the premises from enjoying a comfortable stay in the gazebo.

The manufacturing material is tarpaulin or lavsan fabric. Sometimes synthetic fabrics are used.

Photos of curtains for a gazebo will be a good helper for anyone who is interested in creating a charming and comfortable gazebo.

Some tips to make the right choice

Nowadays, completely harmless materials are used for curtains that do not harm human health. Therefore, when making a choice, first of all you need to be guided by what main task the curtains should perform. And only then pay attention to the following criteria:

  • what weather conditions can this material withstand;
  • withstand low wind force;
  • protection from natural precipitation;
  • combination of canvas with the overall interior.

Fabric curtains

The most common and simplest option is textiles. Silk, chiffon or organza will look equally impressive. At the same time, natural ventilation will not be disturbed and you will be able to breathe fresh air and admire the view outside. To save yourself from insects, such curtains will have to be treated with special compounds after washing. Suitable products for this can be purchased at gardening stores.

Thin, translucent curtains are hung on curtains and formed into delicate airy gathers. This design will give a feeling of comfort and lightness. Suitable for festive events.

Heavier and denser fabrics (linen, teak, canvas) look appropriate in the form of Roman blinds or laconic folds. Such an accent will be a worthy decoration of the Mediterranean style in the interior.

For wooden rooms, rope curtains in the form of threads of beads, decorative leaves and similar decorations are ideal. For such structures, curtains made from natural bamboo, straw or hemp would also be appropriate.

For a romantic mood and intimate atmosphere, you can use curtains made from Blackout fabric. This is a multilayer material that can shade a room by 90 - 100%. Typically, such fabric is combined with transparent fabric, achieving the so-called “day and night” effect.

All of the above options are suitable only for the warm and dry season, unfortunately. Textile curtains will not protect you from rain or strong winds. In addition, they do not have a very long service life - up to 7 seasons. But in order to be able to be outdoors in inclement weather, curtains made from the materials described below are suitable.

Curtains - awnings

Protective awnings are an excellent barrier against annoying insects, rain and wind. Also, the room with such curtains retains warmth, which will greatly please you in cool weather. If necessary, you can even use a heater.

The awning fabric is made on the basis of tarpaulin. Synthetic fabric has an acrylic or Teflon coating. Thanks to this composition, awning curtains can withstand both low temperatures - 25 degrees, and quite high temperatures - up to + 60.

Acrylic curtains

Acrylic fabrics repel water well because they have a fairly dense base. Such curtains diffuse the sun's rays well, giving the room unusual lighting. They can be used every day, but in inclement weather it is better to remove them.

The disadvantage of acrylic curtains is that, due to its density, the material is damaged at the folds when folded for storage. Wrinkles and cracks appear there. This drawback significantly spoils the appearance of the room where such curtains are used.

PVC curtains

Nowadays, transparent and colored PVC curtains are widely used to decorate gazebos and verandas. They differ from each other in that when producing colored fabric, a fabric cord is added to it.

In terms of their quality, PVC curtains are the most reliable and quite practical.

It is convenient to work with such a canvas, as it stretches, but at the same time retains its original shape. The material is durable and lightweight. It is easy to stitch. During operation it is not afraid of moisture. If it gets dirty, just walk over the canvas with a cloth soaked in a simple soap solution. And if damaged, the defect can be repaired using PVC glue.

Many people prefer transparent PVC curtains to decorate their gazebos and verandas, because despite their protective properties, the feeling of open space is still preserved.

The use of transparent PVC curtains can easily replace glazing. At the same time, you can place furniture made of fabric in the room and not be afraid of dampness. Transparent curtains can be successfully combined with colored ones. This material can be safely used all year round and in all weather conditions.

The disadvantage of such curtains is that they retain moisture and heat inside the room. Therefore, it may feel like you are in a greenhouse or greenhouse. And with frequent ventilation and lifting of the curtains, creases can form. Some experts advise hanging curtains so that they straighten on their own when exposed to sunlight.

Bamboo curtains

This material is suitable for literally any interior, giving it a zest. Curtains are assembled into rolls, only mechanically. They do not obstruct air circulation and protect from the sun.

Roller blinds

Curtains are made of soft fabric that does not let the sun's rays through at all and are perfect for gazebos and verandas. Using an electric drive, the fabric is rolled into rolls. If necessary, you can roll up the lower part of the curtains, letting air into the room, and the upper, closed part will protect from direct sunlight.

How to properly attach curtains in a gazebo

The curtains themselves will tell you which fastening to use. Usually this process is thought out in advance in the kit: hooks for the curtain rod or rings fixed in the fabric. Below are tips related to attaching curtains.

Mounting ideas

  • Cable. The cheapest and simplest option, suitable for most materials.
  • Cornice. A more reliable, expensive and complex method, although its installation can be a joy for many, since it decorates the interior of the gazebo.
  • Clasps. For the film, fasteners are made in advance to which all the material is attached.
  • Brackets. Roller shutters, blinds and other roller blinds are attached to special mechanisms held by a bracket.

For each type you can choose your own mount. In most cases, the cheapest option is advisable, since in winter the fittings may suffer from temperature changes and will have to be replaced.

How to choose curtains for a closed veranda

To choose the right curtains for a glazed veranda, you need to pay attention to the types of options offered.

We can distinguish the following main types of curtains for a closed veranda:

Italian and French - in fact, are variations of a classic theme: lack of rigor, special pomp in texture and colors, choice of expensive fabrics as a base. Japanese, Roman, bamboo and roll are options for designs that are elegant in their simplicity, for which extra bravura will definitely be unnecessary.

Italian curtains

This type of curtain differs from others in that they do not slide completely apart, but are pulled diagonally from a richly decorated cord. This element has a special meaning for the entire design - it is decorated with tassels and bows, it should look elegant. There is no lambrequin (horizontal decorative drapery) provided.

Italian curtains are good, first of all, for high openings - these can be large verandas or non-standard architectural solutions for windows. Italy is suitable for any type of premises and for any selected design, successfully fitting into both antique classics and the minimalist style of the veranda.

Models with a printed pattern, for example, a geometric shape, which somewhat smooth out the apparent softness of the fabric, giving it volume and texture, seem especially successful

French curtains

An option that can sometimes be confused with the Austrian model. However, confusion does not arise if we mention the variety of “marquise” - fabric gathered into scallops. The main difference with the Austrian model lies in the length - the “awning” can be floor-length and also be liftable.

These curtains came to us from French palaces, so they will look most appropriate in classic, expensive interiors. Large windows are good for French curtains, because their volume is ideal for the pomp of curtains.

When sewing, only the lightest fabrics are taken - cambric, silk. Patterns are welcome, however, they are not a mandatory component - usually a frilly structure is more than enough to attract attention. It is advisable to choose from light colors; pastel shades look especially attractive.

It is worth keeping in mind that French curtains do not slide apart, so in order to use them, you will need to order a high-quality curtain rod system - most effectively with an electrical control.

Japanese curtains

These curtains for the veranda at the dacha are also called panel curtains. Elegance and practicality are what you can expect from Japanese style, and the land of the rising sun does not disappoint.

Film - curtain

Sometimes the glazed gazebo is located in an open place; it is hot there in the summer. There is a desire to install an air conditioner.

There's a life-saving idea worth trying. This film is a curtain. By gluing it correctly, you can solve many problems.

Positive properties:

  • Reflects harmful ultraviolet rays.
  • Prevents hot air from entering inside.
  • Does not require any maintenance other than occasional gentle wiping.
  • Serves as a reflector for sunlight.
  • Creates a cozy atmosphere in a relaxation room and protects the eyes from bright light.
  • Prevents the entry of prying prying eyes from the street. At the same time, it maintains good visibility through the window.
  • An alternative to air conditioning, curtains, and blinds that collect dust.
  • Cheap option compared to other types of curtains.

If desired, the window frame can be perfectly complemented with tulle.

Flaws:

  • In cloudy weather, additional lighting may be needed.
  • In the evening hours, under electric lighting, visibility through the film may increase, so it is better to choose a quality product.

Fabric (chiffon, organza, tulle, silk)

Fabric is a decorative material that “refreshes” the gazebo and makes it cozy. Regular textiles are thin, transparent and light. There is no way to protect the gazebo from the street with its help, since this material cannot even protect itself from moisture and gusts of wind.

Therefore, this option is suitable only for outdoor decor or indoor decoration.

“Soft curtains” - what are they?

Polyvinyl chloride film has an analogue - awning glass, presented in the form of a soft and plastic material. It is universal: it reliably protects from precipitation without limiting the entry of sunlight. Very often, such a design is called “soft curtains”. It is made using a special technology - reinforcement, thanks to which the material becomes more resistant to tearing. Very often, sales tents and production workshops are equipped with similar protective systems.

Advantages:

  • Increased protective function;
  • high thermal insulation rates;
  • Possibility of use at air temperatures below zero;
  • quality certificate;
  • ease of installation and dismantling;
  • optimal price category;
  • quality assurance;
  • long service life (up to 15 years of service).

The lineup:

Read about: blackout will protect not only from the sun, but also from prying eyes.

An alternative to the standard ones today are roller blinds for the veranda and terrace (photo below). Now there is no urgent need to constantly open or close them. The automatic control method allows you to roll up webs in a jiffy. And the manual method will be pleasant and convenient for those who are accustomed to standards.

The simple design of the products is understandable to everyone. Manual, automatic, remote control modes attract buyers of different age groups. Roller blinds for verandas and terraces can be purchased at any store with a construction orientation or the direction “Home. Garden. Garden."

There are bamboo sheets in both horizontal and vertical directions. Such curtains are an ideal option for people with refined taste who embrace eco-style. Reliably protect, easily adapt to any interior design - these are the advantageous features of the products. The disadvantages are limited seasonality. The weak protective function against precipitation is a barrier for those who plan to relax on the veranda on winter evenings.

Popular articles Landscape design of a site in Provence style

Increased practicality and reliability are the distinctive features of these protective curtains. Such features are achieved thanks to moisture-resistant impregnation, which makes the products durable in service. But along with the advantages, there is also one significant disadvantage - lack of attractiveness.

Functions and types of curtains

Curtains in the gazebo are an original design element. They must serve an aesthetic function and perform a number of tasks:

  • protection from the sun, insects and prying eyes;
  • emphasizing the advantages and smoothing out design flaws;
  • keeping warm inside the veranda when it gets cool and damp;
  • strength of material that can withstand strong winds;
  • harmony with the surrounding interior elements, a beautiful combination with the overall ensemble and landscape of the dacha (house).

To decorate gazebos, shades of nature are often chosen. Light colors will add lightness to the design.

Manufacturers offer different types of curtains: roller, fabric, PVC, and there are protective awnings.

Blinds, roller shutters

Blinds in the form of roller shutters mean not only protecting the gazebo from weather conditions. Thanks to this design, you can completely protect the gazebo from physical influences, since the roller shutter can be locked with a key.

This option is used in cases where the room needs to be locked at night or “mothballed” for the season. You can use it at your dacha; this will allow you not only to close yourself off from the outside world if necessary, but also to protect your building from thieves.

What curtains cannot be used for an open veranda?

In order not to make a mistake when choosing outdoor curtains for a veranda in a country house, you need to keep in mind some basic selection rules.

  1. Firstly, you need to remember that the street is not an apartment, so you need to choose exclusively easy-to-clean fabrics. No matter how carefully you handle the curtains, they will inevitably become dirty, and therefore it is advisable to know how to clean the fabric and what products to use. Awning and PVC curtains for the veranda are especially good - they can be washed without even removing them from their fastenings.
  2. Secondly, the fabric also does not like ultraviolet radiation, so the curtains must be impregnated - they protect not only from moisture, but also from exposure to sunlight. Please note that the store may well offer ordinary thick fabric - ask for impregnated fabric.
  3. Thirdly, in the case of curtains on an open veranda, a phenomenon such as windage can play a role. Simply put, the wind can lift the curtains, and you also need to fight this - use fastenings. Therefore, you should not purchase curtains with plastic fasteners, which look unreliable - they can break in strong winds. When choosing, you should use the rule “utilitarianism supported by aesthetics,” but not vice versa. It is also important to remember that wooden patio railings can also protect your curtains.
